Hydrogenated hydroxy-terminated polyolefin resin

The Krasol® LBH series is a hydroxy-terminated linear polybutadiene that is liquid at room temperature due to its high concentration of olefin double bonds and low molecular weight. This material is insoluble in water and alcohol, but soluble in non-polar organic solvents, oils, bitumen, etc. The Krasol® LBH series reacts with the polymer through double bonds on the main chain, as well as through the terminal hydroxyl group, which is particularly evident in polyether polyol type polyurethane systems. Hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene can be introduced as a reaction intermediate in special chemical applications.
